QR codes can store up to approximately 4,296 alphanumeric characters or 2,953 bytes of binary data. However, for optimal scannability, we recommend keeping QR codes reasonably sized. Our generator automatically adjusts the QR code complexity based on the amount of data entered. Shorter URLs and concise text messages create simpler, more reliable QR codes that scan faster and more accurately.
No special permissions are needed to create QR codes. The QR code technology is free to use and doesn't require licensing.
